Job Description
OSS Orthopaedic Hospital is seeking a professional/experienced patient/staff educator.
This position serves as a resource for all staff and patients; Coordinates training & orientation for all new staff; keeps staff aware of standards of practice related to their areas; Provides classroom orientation for all new staff; Provides competency programs for all clinical staff; Responsible for patient education information and works with the staff to coordinate the teaching process for the patients;
BS in Nursing or health related field required. Master’s degree in Nursing, Teaching, or health related field preferred; Current PA RN license; CPR & ACLS certifications; Certified CPR & ACLS instructor or ability to achieve within (1) year; Clinical orthopaedic expertise in Inpatient, Preop/PACU & Surgical Services; and Educational background & teaching experience preferred.
