Job Description
Orthopaedic & Spine Specialists is seeking a Patient Care Tech to perform patient care and unit functions under the direction of the RN as part of the health care team.
Position is available in Inpatient Services. Responsibilities: Perform vital signs and patient care, utilizing appropriate safety and infection control practices, on assigned group of patients; Collect and document patient care data and report abnormalities to RN; Assume responsibility and accountability for care provided and tasks assigned; and Manage patient assignments effectively.
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, and GENERAL EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED required.

CPR certification required.

Previous experience in patient care.

Certification as a nursing assistant preferred.

Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.

Must be able to respond quickly and effectively to an emergency.

Have professional and effective communication skills and demonstrated ability to plan and organize work.
Schedule – Three - 12 hour shifts, 7a-7p
