Job Description
OSS Orthopaedic Hospital, located in York, PA seeks a Controller for our 4-OR, 30-bed facility. Reporting to the CEO of the Hospital, the Controller will be responsible to develop and maintain all accounting practices and policies as well as to maintain fiscal/accounting records and reports in accordance with GAAP principles. The position will direct patient financial services (including admitting, HIM, billing and collections) and ensure charge capture system integrity. Additional responsibilities include overseeing the functions of Accounts Payable and Receivable, Budgeting, Payroll and related business office functions.
Education & Certifications: Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Business Management required. Masters Degree and/or CPA designation preferred. MBA with Hospital Controller experience is highly preferred.
Experience: Minimum of five (5) years middle management level relevant experience in a hospital setting is required. Demonstrated skills in fiscal aspects of program development, financial management, staff motivation/retention & development, alternative financing/reimbursement methodologies and budgeting.
