Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Accountant, the Accounts Payable and Payroll Clerk is responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services. This includes processing and monitoring of vendor and employee payments, and preparing and monitoring the payroll system. This position serves as the primary point of contact for both external vendors, as well as staff in all payment matters and is responsible for monitoring/maintaining vendor contracts.  This position is also tasked with ensuring that staff and vendors are paid according to contract terms or policies, and that available discounts are identified. 

 

This position requires a person deeply committed to providing excellent customer service, and possessing a very high level of task ownership and responsibility.

 

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, and GENERAL EXPERIENCE:

·         Associates degree in accounting or equivalent experience;

·         3 years experience in accounts payable and maintaining general ledgers;

·         2 years experience in payroll functions and procedures;

·         Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial and payroll information;

·         Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning financial and employee files;

·         Must possess excellent presentation, oral, and written communication skills, and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management; and

·         CPSI experience is highly desired.
